Steven R. Dwyer

Professional Preparation

Steven R. Dwyer earned dual undergraduate degrees in Psychology and the Administration of Justice from The Pennsylvania State University in 1996.  After living 4+ years in Tahoe, California, and then 4 more years in Florida, Steven received his Juris Doctorate Degree with honors from the University of Florida A&M Law School in 2008.  While in law school Steven worked at the law school library, completed an internship with the Orlando public defender's office, and worked for Orlando attorney Diana Tennis prior to her becoming judge in the Ninth Judicial Circuit Court of Florida.

After graduation from law school, Steven moved to Wyoming where he was admitted to practice in all Courts of Wyoming.  Initially, he worked at the law firm of Meyer & Williams in Jackson during which time numerous multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements were obtained.

In 2010 Steven opened his own law office with a focus on workers' compensation, social security disability, criminal law, business formation and litigation, as well as personal injury litigation.

Steven continually takes advantage of professional development opportunities in his interest areas in order to provide exemplary service to clients in the state of Wyoming.

Community and Human Service

Before entering the legal field, Steven worked for human service agencies in State College, Pennsylvania, and Orlando, Florida.  While in Florida he headed a variety of community-oriented projects including the acquisition and repair of over 50 bicycles for underprivileged children that were then donated to the residents of the greater Orlando community.

Steven is a founding board member of the Teton County Access to Justice Center located in Jackson, WY.

Steven also is a founding board member of Alpine Trails and Pathways, a non-profit formed in 2020 that focuses on building, maintaining, and protecting non-motorized trail and pathway networks for people to enjoy in the community of Alpine, WY and surrounding public land of Northern Star Valley.

Outdoor Interests

Steven is an avid outdoorsman and is an accomplished biker, bicycle mechanic, climber, back-packer, hunter, white-water rafter, and skier.  In 2004 he accomplished a personal goal by riding solo on a bicycle across our country from the northern California coast to St. Augustine, Florida -- 3,650 miles in 7 weeks. Steven continues to be actively involved in outdoor activities while also taking time to enjoy the splendors of the environment and the great company of the people of Wyoming.
